What this application does

StatsMadness is a personal application that uses YouTube API Services to manage its owner's YouTube channel. It runs on the owner's own computer and is not offered to anyone else. By using it, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Google user data accessed

With your authorization, the application uses these permissions:

• Upload YouTube videos (youtube.upload): to upload the channel's videos as private or scheduled.
• Manage your YouTube account (youtube.force-ssl): to set each uploaded video's thumbnail, captions and publication date, add it to a playlist of the channel, and read back the status of the videos it uploaded.
• View YouTube Analytics reports (yt-analytics.readonly): to read the channel's own search terms, traffic sources and views, watch time and average percentage viewed per video.

The application also uses a YouTube Data API key, without access to any account, to read public data about popular videos on a topic (views, dates and channel subscriber counts).

How the data is used

Account data is used only to upload and manage the channel's own videos and to choose topics for new videos. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, and it is not used to train AI models.

Data sharing

When the owner generates a topic report, a summary of the channel's Analytics data (search terms, traffic sources, and views and watch statistics of the channel's videos, with their titles) is sent to Anthropic's Claude to suggest video topics, under Anthropic's Privacy Policy. No other data is shared with third parties.

Storage and retention

• OAuth tokens are stored only on the owner's computer, readable only by the owner's user account.
• Analytics reports and public video data are cached on the owner's computer for at most 30 days and then deleted.
• The IDs and publication dates of the videos the application uploads are kept in the owner's project files, to manage those uploads.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can revoke the application's access at any time from your Google Account's third-party connections. To have the stored data deleted, write to the contact address below; it is deleted within 30 days.

Limited Use

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
